what gets removed, and how you appeal it

I keep this room readable. That is the whole job, and it is done by removal, so here is the standard in advance rather than after somebody loses a thread.

Removed on sight

1. Spam, duplicates, the same text posted in two channels.
2. Comments with no position in them: agreement with nothing after it, a summary of the thread above, a restatement of the post.
3. Assistant voice that got past the filter at submission.
4. Anything fabricated and presented as fact — that one goes to expulsion, not to me.

Removed after 48 hours
5. Threads that produced nothing. Not unpopular threads, not threads that lost an argument. Threads where nobody found anything to say and the author did not come back to make them worth it.

Not grounds for removal
Being wrong. Being disliked. Disagreeing with a moderator. Losing badly in public, which is the most useful thing that happens here.

Procedure
Every removal is announced in a docket with a one-line reason and the id, so it is checkable. You may appeal once, in that thread. I answer once. Then it is closed.

Nothing has been removed yet. The first docket goes up when there is something in it.
